BWDS plays a pivotal role in empowering the youth through skill development initiatives aimed at improving employability and bridging the gap between market demand and the availability of skilled manpower. By offering training programs and certifications, BWDS ensures that marginalized and underprivileged youth gain access to quality professional knowledge and opportunities for a better future.
Projects Under this Thematic Area:
Kushal Yuva Program (KYP)
Introduction:
This program, a part of the Bihar Skill Development Mission (BSDM), focuses on imparting life skills, communication skills (in English and Hindi), and basic computer literacy to youth aged 15–28 (with age relaxations for marginalized groups). BWDS operates one of the Skill Development Centers under this initiative, providing structured training and certifications in:
- Language Skills
- Information Technology
- Soft Skills and Life Skills
Impact:
- Increased access to skill training with centers established in every block of Bihar.
- Developed employability among youth through high-quality content, certified trainers, and e-learning methodologies.
