COMBATING CHILD LABOUR & HUMAN TRAFFICKING
GOAL & OBJECTIVES –
- GOAL – To eliminate child labor and human trafficking by enabling (vulnerable) communities to shape their life in enabling environment to exercise sustained
- freedom and citizenship rights.
- Objective – 1. To provide basic education and Life Skills through ELSD (EDUCATION & LIFE SKILL DEVELOPMENT) CENTRES to drop out children and child labors in a homogeneous environment to make them resilient to human trafficking.
- Objective – 2. To build the capacity of young women and girls to develop their potential in life skills and livelihood promotion to alleviate their poverty as natural factor to curb human trafficking.
- Objective – 3. To enable the citizens to recognize human trafficking as a problem and a social issue that concerns their family, women, children and the communities.
- Objective – 4. Strengthening network of grassroots committees (e.g, Community Vigilance Groups-CVGs) and Linkages with Sensitization to the Government on the issue.

- DISTRICT – 6 (Patna / Buxar / Banka / Purnea / Sitamarhi / West Champaran)
- BLOCKS – 9 // PANCHAYATS – 17
- VILLAGES – 150 (25 Villages in each Diocese District)
Target Social Groups – Mahadalits, Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Castes, Minorities (Women, child laborers, Adolescent girls & Children).
Direct Beneficiaries:
- 18 centres x 40 children = 720 vulnerable children (2160 children in 3 years) through Education and Life Skill Development centres (ELSDCs) or “Hamari Jeevanshala”, if we change the Centres each year after satisfactory progress.
- 3000 (150×20) active members through 150 CVG (Community Vigilance Groups).
Indirect Beneficiaries: 45000 population (50 HH x 150 Villages/Hamlets x 5 persons)

- Formation and nurturing of CHAI (Children in action and Innovation) Children Parliament group
- Capacity Building Trainings –
- Orientation and capacity building Training for Project Staff on Innovative Teaching and learning; Anti-human trafficking Systems in Bihar state and India; and Strengthen livelihood potential of the target population on sustainable mode of operation.
- Capacity Building Trainings of CVG members on Government system and copping mechanism to fight child labor and human trafficking
