About the Project
The Asha Skill Development Project, supported by ASHA ERRIKA, Germany, is implemented by BWDS to empower rural Dalit girls and boys of Bihar. The goal is to enhance their skills in Spoken English, Computer Awareness, and Personality Development to enable them to access better job opportunities. The project runs on an annual cycle from 1st January 2024 to 31st December 2024.

Program Interventions
Non-Residential Computer Training
Two-week digital literacy classes conducted in rural parishes to build essential computer skills and confidence.
Residential Summer Camp
21-day summer camp on Spoken English, Personality Development, Computer Literacy, cultural programs & exposure visits.
Achievements
300+ Youth Empowered Annually
Over 300 Dalit boys and girls trained every year in digital literacy, personality growth, and job readiness.
10 Computer Batches Yearly
10 training batches with 15 students each conducted annually in various locations.
50+ Girls in Summer Camp
Each year, more than 50 girls attend the intensive residential summer camp.
